Giving Back to Our Community: Christmas Child Operation

In 2024, Zion United Methodist Church began Christmas Child Operation, bringing joy and hope to children and families in our community. Our goal was simple: to give every child an opportunity to experience the love of Christ during the Christmas season.

Through this initiative, we were able to provide Christmas gifts and a special holiday meal to several families, spreading joy, encouragement, and the true meaning of Christmas. Moments like these remind us of the power of generosity and the impact we can have when we come together to serve others.

Christmas is a perfect time to reflect on giving — not just gifts, but love, time, and compassion — to those around us. As we give, we mirror the ultimate gift God gave to the world: His Son, Jesus Christ.

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35

At Zion UMC, we are committed to serving our community and sharing the hope of Christ all year long. Together, we can make a difference and bring the light of Jesus to those who need it most.
